ASTM F955 Molten Substance Pour Testing
ASTM F955 is the Standard Test Method for Evaluating Heat Transfer through Materials for Protective Clothing Upon Contact with Molten Substances. Testing is typically performed with molten aluminum and iron, copper, brass and other substances to evaluate the heat transfer properties through primary materials to a molten metal hazard. This is one test method required by ASTM F1002 Standard Performance Specification for Protective Clothing and Materials for Use by Workers Exposed to Specific Molten Substances and Related Thermal Hazards, for primary materials.
