Kinectrics High Current Lab Now Part of UL DAP

ArcWear, a Division of Kinectrics, is proud to announce a newly expanded Scope in UL’s third party Data Acceptance Program (DAP). The High Current Lab joining UL’s DAP means Kinectrics’ test data will be accepted by UL toward ISO 17065 certification services without additional witnessing. For clients still in the R&D phase, favorable arc test results may be applied towards certification at a later date which can help cut time and cost on testing and certification projects. While ISO 17065 third-party certification is not currently required by ASTM F1506 or ASTM F1891, some in the US choose this conformity assessment path as an option outlined by ASTM F1506 and some markets specify third-party certification.

Kinectrics High Current Lab UL DAP Scope includes:

  • ASTM F1506 Clause 7.7 — Arc Rating
  • ASTM F1891 Clause 9.3 — Thermal Performance Requirements
  • ASTM F887 Clause 22 — After Exposure to an Electric Arc

For more information on these specific tests, please visit our Testing Services page and navigate to the specific Standard or Test Method, or Contact Us for quotes and inquiries.

To initiate a UL Certification project with ArcWear, you can open a project with UL and request that ArcWear, a Division of Kinectrics, perform your testing, or Contact Us to put you in touch with the right folks at UL to get a Certification project started. We are happy to support your product development needs and to answer questions you may have!
